My first experience with birth came in 2013, when a friend asked me to photograph her sixth homebirth. My world would never be the same, as I witnessed the loving and powerful story unfold. Since then, I attended several other births for friends, acting as an emotional and physical support while immersing myself in the natural birth community.

In 2017, I decided to turn my love for birth into more than a hobby, and became a formally trained birth doula through Dona International.

I completed my certification process in January, 2019. Certification adds another level of accountability to my practice, as well as highlighting the undeniable importance of continuing education.
